Share of Unmarried People in Armenia by Age Group

The number of single people in the developed world is steadily increasing.

Unmarried people often mention that they avoid responsibilities considering single life more easygoing and exciting. According to the latest Breavis research results, about 15% of the Armenian population is unmarried. As expected, when the age increases the percentage of single people decreases in our Country.

In the age group of 18-30, the percentage of single people is the largest and is currently 55.25%. Among the 31-45 age group, it is 9.25%, and in the 46-60 age group, unmarried people are only 6.2%. Finally, only 2.2% of people in the 65+ category is single.

Interestingly, there were no significant differences in the percentage of single people in the capital, urban, and rural communities (see the infographic below).
