Brief Insights Into Human Rights and Hate Speech in Armenia

In August 2020, the International Republican Institute (IRI) conducted a survey across Armenia to understand public opinion on topics including human rights and hate speech, with a specific focus on social media. The findings provide government officials, political parties and citizens with insights into the priorities of Armenians.

Methodology

The survey was conducted on behalf of IRI’s Center for Insights in Survey Research by Breavis (represented by IPSC LLC) between August 15 and August 25, 2020. Data was collected through phone interviews using a random digit dialing method. The sample consists of 1,515 respondents aged 18+ and the data was weighted for 11 regional groups, age, gender and community type. The margin of error does not exceed plus or minus 2.5 points and the response rate was 23 percent.
